GUIDE SERVICE

   Drift boat fishing trips are available through Aries Tackle. These trips are provided on the the Manistee river and the Betsie River. You will enjoy the day on the river with an experienced guide. They will cover more water and place you over fish that are normally not accessible by any other means. All of your equipment is supplied. If you prefer to fly-fish, supplying  your own equipment is encouraged. We understand that you are more comfortable with your own and that usually produces better results.

   We want to remind you it is your responsibility to dress accordingly and that you need to provide your own waders. It is always a good idea to bring along light rain gear as the weather here in Michigan is never predictable. Our price for these trips are $300.00 for two people for a full day. We would like to mention that it is a good idea to book early as these trips are very popular and you will want to get the best dates. The following will give you a general idea of the seasons:

March / April / May - Steelhead

September / October - Salmon

October / November - Steelhead

December thru February - Steelhead (Weather permitting)

We also provide summer fly-fishing on surrounding tributaries. These are boot trips and you are required to provide your own equipment. These are half-day bookings. Morning or evening. These trips are directed at Brook  Trout and Brown Trout. These bookings are excellent for the beginner as well as the experienced. The prices on these bookings are $165.00.
